Introduction
Associate Degree is a regular 2-year program which has been designed to equip the students with suitable knowledge and skills which would help them taking an early start of their professional career.
Program Objectives
- To develop general management skills like oral and written communication.
- To enhance decision-making, leadership qualities, teamwork capabilities, etc.
- To build up students’ potential for future career and enable them to build and maintain balance between the targets of economic success.
- To enable the students to make country’s resources (human, physical, environmental & financial) sustainable for the generations to come.
Eligibility Criteria:
FA/FSc I. Com /ICS or GCEA-Levels or equivalent with minimum 2nd Division.
Structure (Associate Degree)
Associate Degree is 2-year program, spread over 4 regular semesters and consisting of 66 credit hours after completing twelve years of higher secondary school certificate or equivalent.

Total Credit Hours: 63-66 hrs.
Transition to Semester System:
All HEIs offering the two-year Associate Degree (formerly BA/BSc) will transition to the semester system per HEC policy and guidelines.
Overall: Within the requirements given in the Framework (Secon II above), to obtain an AD degree, students will have to complete the
following:
Credits and Courses: Every AD student will complete at least 60 credits. The actual number of courses will depend on the credit hours for the courses taken. If all courses are of 3 credits, they will have to take a total of 20 courses.
Credits per Semester:
Ordinarily, students will complete 15 credits in every semester by taking five courses of 3 credits each, or other
Combinations. However, a student may take more or fewer courses in a semester with permission in writing of the competent authority
as specified in the rules.
